COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Umhlanga College has an active and focused outreach programme in place. Here at the school we believe in giving back to the community and the underprivileged. We believe this forms an important part of a child's education. Projects to raise funds for various organizations take place on a termly basis through all phases of the school.

Blackburn Primary, an underprivileged school near to us is a focal point of our outreach energies. Social interactions as well as ongoing donations to the school ensure that our pupils have an awareness of others. We are also members of Afritwin, an organization whose aim is to foster links between schools in South Africa and the UK. We have set up correspondence with Oreston School in England with the aim of creating awareness of schools such as Blackburn Primary.
